You may be wondering why I’m showing you my trash…. I can show you all the new products I’ve tried out but that doesn’t give you a full review. Did I like it? Hate it? Would I buy it again? There’s no better time to review a product than after you’ve finished the whole thing.
You may have seen these in my Switching to Natural post. Verdict? I loved them. The shampoo cleaned well and even foamed up despite being sulfate free. The conditioner left my hair moisturized but not weighed down. I bought a different shampoo and conditioner that I hate and will be switching back to these as soon as I finish up what I’m working on. The only reason I switched to something else was because these tubes are $10 each. I thought I’d try something a little bit cheaper but still more natural. The Acure shampoo and conditioner are worth it.
I NEED this body wash back in my life. It lathers up like a dream and leaves my skin so soft. It smells like sweet almond which is one of my favorite scents. One of my favorite things about this body wash is that there are no synthetic fragrances added; all natural scents in here. I have some skin sensitivities to synthetic ingredients and fragrances. I purchased a different body wash because the Whole Foods I went to didn’t stock the Argan body wash. Once the one I’m using is finished up I’m going to add the Acure body wash in with my next Amazon order.
Trader Joe’s Micellar Cleanser & Makeup Remover Towelettes
I also purchased this makeup remover out of allergy desperation. There’s one ingredient that is in almost every moist wipe/makeup wipe I have ever come across that I am allergic to. I was so excited to see that these makeup remover towelettes didn’t include that ingredient. Oh and they also work great. I’ve gone through countless packs of these. They have a nice light scent and even remove mascara. They’re super gentle and will be in my makeup bag as long as Trader Joe’s makes them. Unfortunately you can’t buy them online and Trader Joe’s doesn’t feature all their products on the website, but they’re carried in store for $3.99.
I had an unfortunate mishap with this oil… I knocked it over on my makeup desk and lost about half of it. Which was a shame because I did like it a lot. I was using it to reduce the redness in my blemishes and hopefully get rid of some acne scarring. Even if it doesn’t get rid of blemishes completely overnight, it takes out a ton of the redness and inflammation, making your skin look much better. I wish it had better packaging so I didn’t have to have the whole thing open while using it. I can be pretty clumsy. I think I’ll try again sometime soon. It’s a little pricey for the amount of product at $16 for 10 ml.
This is my staple foundation. I’ve been using it for maybe two years. Nothing new here. I use it year-round and range from shade 5.0 to 7.0. It’s my favorite foundation. It has a demi matte finish so it looks like skin but better. I have pretty oily skin and it lasts a long time without much blotting or many touchups. My dad’s girlfriend uses it too and she has a different skin type to me so it would probably work for most people. Don’t get it on clothes or carpet, though. It stains.
This is my favorite finishing powder I’ve ever used. It’s a sheer powder with a hint of color so it mattifies your skin without giving a white caste or a cake-y look. Its just a finishing powder, not a foundation so don’t expect coverage from this powder by itself. I don’t see myself switching anytime soon unless I hear about something ground-breaking.
I’m sorry these were all positive reviews, I promise I will have some bad things to say the next time around, but these all happen to be products I love. Have you tried any of these products?
