Dear Santa, I’m Registered at Sephora

I don’t know about you, but this time change is killing me. It feels like there aren’t enough hours in the day when the sun sets this early. You know what it does mean, though? It’s almost the holiday season! I thought I’d put together a list of products I’ve had my eye on. Right now Sephora is having their 20% off VIB sale. It starts today and goes through Monday, Nov. 10. If you’re a VIB you can use the code “GIFTVIB” at to receive the 20% off at checkout or check your email to find the coupon to use in stores. I’m going to the store on Friday to pick up some of my essentials like foundation, but now would be a great time to go pick up some gifts or a sneaky little treat for yourself. We’ll see if I can control myself once I get there.

Bobbi Brown Nude on Nude Palette ($65)

I saw this palette a few months back in an email I received from Sephora featuring new products and knew instantly I wanted it. I love pretty golds and warm browns all year, but especially in the wintertime.  The last few times I visited Sephora I saw it in person and swatched it. IT’S BEAUTIFUL. It’s a mix of matte, metallic and sparkle shadows. They have the most amazing buttery texture. Next time I get the chance to splurge I know exactly what will be first in my basket.

NARS Virtual Domination Cheek Palette ($65)

NARS is my favorite brand for blushes. The colors are gorgeous, the wear is great and they’re super pigmented. All you need is a quick dab of a brush for application. They are a bit pricey, but they last forever and alone each blush costs $30. These blushes are also .01 oz away from being full size so to get them in a palette like this is a total bargain (this palette has a $151 value!).

Buxom Winner Takes All Lip Set

I’m not a huge lip product wearer, but I do love me some Buxom lip glosses. I’ve received samples of Buxom glosses a few times and have gone through an entire tube before. They’re really nice: long wearing, flattering, minty and slightly plumping. I also very rarely go through entire tubes of lip gloss or I lose them before I can get anywhere near the bottom. These deluxe sample sizes are perfect if you’re forgetful like me, and is a great way to find a shade you love.

Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub ($25)

It’s getting colder (theoretically… It was 75 degrees today!) which means your skin will be getting drier. Nothing better to combat dry skin than a scrub that smells good enough to eat. Whenever I go to Sephora I like to look at the Soap & Glory. I’ve loved the brand ever since it was in Target years back. Unfortunately since it moved to a higher end store, the prices moved on up with it. Back to this scrub, though. It smells like cookies. My goal in life, especially in winter, is to smell like a baked good at all times. I need it.

Benefit Cosmetics Advent Calendar ($99)

My family has had the tradition of opening the cheap-y chocolate advent calendars counting down ’til Christmas for as long as I can remember. I love it. I even went out and bought my own when I lived alone in college. It wouldn’t be December without one. I don’t think I can justify buying a $100 beauty filled advent calendar… Which is why it’s on my wish list. This advent calendar includes 18 deluxe sized samples and a few fun extras. This would be such a fun early Christmas present to receive. What’s better than trying out a new Benefit product each day?

I hope my wish list helped you get some ideas for holiday gifts or just to “treat yo self!” Happy Shopping!
