Hi everyone, I thought I would start out by showing you a makeup look that is similar to what I would wear on an everyday basis. I rarely do my makeup the same two days in a row, however,if I really like something I came up with I might wear it again. But I do like to change it up almost everyday. Many of my everyday looks are similar in that they are neutral and wearable but still put together in a “I put makeup on today so I look nice, but didn’t try too hard kind of way.” I guess I’m saying a look that looks like I took a lot of time, but didn’t really.
I use my Urban Decay Naked 2 palette quite often, but sometimes I get into a rut buy using the same few colors all the time, you may notice in the picture of the palette below that some of the colors aren’t as loved as others. I tried to use colors I don’t normally use from this palette today. Just felt like mixing it up a bit.
Here are the products I used:
Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup in 5.0
Urban Decay 24/7 Concealer Pencil in ATF
Benefit Erase Paste in No. 2 Medium (not pictured)
Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder in 001 Transparent
Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in My Two Cents
Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette
Nars Laguna Bronzer
Nars Blush in Orgasm
Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink
Stila Smudge Stick in Angelfish(limited edition) – on lower lashline
Elizabeth Mott It’s so Big Mascara
Soap & Glory A Great Kisser Lip Moisture Balm
Here’s the colors I used on my eyes. First I always apply a base to prevent creasing and to make the shadows more vibrant. Sometimes I use Urban Decay’s Primer Potion but today I opted for a creaseless cream shadow by Benefit Cosmetics. I applied it all over my lid and just barely up into my crease so my eyeshadow has something to stick to.
Next I covered the area where I applied the cream shadow with YDK. I added a tiny bit of Busted in the outer corner to add some dimension. I forgot to take a picture but sometimes I use a light or medium brown, something just a bit darker than your skin tone in the crease and just a little bit higher as a transition color to soften the edges. I used Naked from the original Urban Decay Naked Palette, but any light-ish brown will work. Then I used Pistol through the crease and mixed Suspect and Booty call and popped that in my inner corner.
I finished off the look with a subtle winged eyeliner a bit of a shimmery nude eyeliner on my lower lashline and mascara. I know that sounds like a lot, but it really only takes me about 10 to 15 minutes to do my makeup in the morning, 30 if I have extra time.
I hope you all enjoyed my first beauty post!
